Based in Staffordshire, UK, I have had a passion for painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. Many childhood hours were happily spent sitting at the dining table with my paper and pencils to hand. It’s a passion that has never gone away.

Although originally a keen watercolour artist, my method and style has evolved over the years and acrylic is now my preferred medium. The versatility of acrylic wins the day for me and my paintings are created by blending and layering the paints with pen and ink washes, to produce vibrancy, depth and a richness of colour. There’s usually a good dollop of detail in the paintings too which is why some of them take days to complete.

I'm mainly inspired by the beautiful British countryside and the fun of the seaside. Sometimes a particular view or event will spark an idea and often paintings develop from my imagination. I paint on a variety of surfaces, from paper to slate, each one providing their own challenges and results.

My paintings have not only been published and sold here in the UK but have found their way to various corners of the globe for which I am truly grateful. I’m happy and honoured to accept commissions too.
