Art Exhibition at The Hub at St Mary's in Lichfield

Hello Friends

What a busy few months it has been compiling and creating a new set of works for my "Near and Far" Exhibition currently being held at The Hub at St Mary's in Lichfield (it's the church next to the market square for those that don't know it.) It's a beautiful space which includes Lichfield library, tourist information centre, performing arts space and and of course, a coffee shop!  All set under the stone arches and stained glass of the beautiful church building. Even if you aren't in the market for art, it's a lovely place just to sit and enjoy a cuppa so please pop in if you are passing. Lichfield is a lovely old town (well Cathedral city with a market town feel) and worth a visit in it's own right.

There are 29 paintings on display! Most of them are brand new paintings created especially for the exhibition.  Landscapes, seascapes and the old favourite, quirky seagulls, are all included somewhere in this set of new artworks.

These paintings have been created using my usual blend of acrylic paints and inks but I've also dabbled with Jackman's granular watercolours and texture gel which adds interest under the surface. This is something I plan to explore further in the future.

Thanks to the team at The Hub who have been so helpful in making this possible and to The Studio and Forest Gallery for their framing expertise. Please pop in if you can.

Catch up again soon!
