2026 Touch Base!

2026 Touch Base!

Hello Strangers

It's been a while since I wrote a blog post and I have just realised his is my first of the year. It's flying by so quickly!  I'm also feeling a bit social media fed up!  It's all so depressing these days so haven't been on it so much but it doesn't mean I haven't been busy,  just haven't been sharing quite as often.

Anyway, I have just finished another commission which will be going to the customer tomorrow.  I cannot share yet but will do as soon as I get the go ahead. Those that know me will also know that I am not the quickest of painters and I find it hard to have more than one artwork on the go, especially with commissions, as I want them to be as perfect as possible.  I can multi task, but not when it comes to painting!

I have also been working on a new piece of art for The Courtyard Fine Art Lounge. However, I have to admit, I am struggling with this one.  Will I ever finish it???  Time to pick that up again and see where it goes.

Other achievements so far ...

Vintage Spotty Dotty re-stocked

Craft fairs done

New paintings finished - and as a bonus, some sold.

Worthy of special mention is the very inspirational day painting Plein Air with another local artist, Ade of Bricks and Fur Portraits.  It was back at the end of April although it seems like two weeks ago!! We set up in a beautiful leafy spot along our local canal.  I haven't painted Plein Air for such a long time.  It was a really good experience and one that taught me a lot in observation and what to leave out as much as what to put in.  We're planning our next location at the moment. More details about my finished painting "Bridge 64"  are on my Instagram page.

I am keeping this blog brief but just wanted to touch base really and let you know I am still here!  There is lots of wonderful arty stuff still happening and I need to crack on.

Take care.

Love

Andrea. X
